FUE hair transplant

During an FUE transplant, hair follicles are extracted one by one from the back of the head using a microscopic extraction instrument of 0.8-0.7mm in diameter, and the follicles are then implanted on your scalp. Since 2004, thanks to this technique, it became possible to transplant hair neutrally, leaving no trace on the donor area. Moreover, before starting the transplant procedure, a picture of the head is taken, and lines are drawn to determine the area in which the transplant takes place.

Hair transplant steps

The patient is brought to a sterilized room in order to sterilize the donor area and to extract hair follicles using microscopic needles. This stage is called the first stage for taking follicles. Sufficient number of follicles will be extracted to match the area where the hair will be implanted. If a large number of follicles is extracted during the first stage, a baldness will appear in the donor area, which is rare to occur.

In the second stage, the patient is anesthetized using local anesthesia and the hair follicles are transferred to the area for the transplantation again. Tunnels are often opened according to the direction of hair growth in order to get the natural hair looking. In the following years after the hair grows, the hair will be vertical and irregular, this phenomenon is called the grass man. However, modern hair transplantation techniques such as FUE do not allow this phenomenon to occur.

After tunnels opening procedure is completed, the third and final stage will begin. In this stage, the hair will be transplanted in the target areas, and it is called the grafting process. After the procedure, the patient has to be careful while wearing and taking off the clothes so that not to affect the newly implanted hair.
